Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Text entered into a search widget is transmitted to the provider operating that widget. The provider processes the request under its own practices. This site does not maintain a separate log of the search terms entered here.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to the site may be retained to answer it or maintain the correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, normal server and analytics activity may collect technical details such as:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services may show aggregate use patterns, such as which pages receive visits. Browser controls can limit cookies, although some functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, securing, and improving the site.
- Passing a widget request to its provider.
- Reviewing aggregated page use and performance.
- Diagnosing technical problems.
- Displaying advertising that may be interest based.
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Pearl River County dockets or person-level case records. It provides routing information for official custodians, including the Circuit Clerk, Chancery Clerk, Justice Court, municipal courts, and PAMEC where applicable. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search widgets. Entries in those tools are governed by the provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules. Review that provider's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Pearl River County clerk pages, Mississippi court resources, PAMEC, city court pages, and third-party providers. Once a reader leaves this site, the external operator's policy controls. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems for interest-based advertising across sites. That activity is governed by those partners, not this policy.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be processed by:
- Widget providers that receive submitted queries.
- Analytics providers used for traffic and performance information.
- Advertising networks that serve advertisements.
- A court or public authority responding to a valid legal demand.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for collected data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
This reference is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If that occurs, contact the site so the information can be addressed.
Your Data Rights
Questions about visitor data can request a copy, correction, deletion, or an opt-out from certain processing where applicable. Court-record access is a separate issue: Pearl River County court files are governed by the applicable court custodian and judiciary access rules, while the Mississippi Public Records Act, Miss. Code Ann. §25-61-1 et seq., supplies the state public-records framework. The MEC policy also explains that court access is not identical to an executive-agency request.
- Request a copy of visitor data held about you.
- Ask to correct inaccurate visitor data.
- Request deletion where it is appropriate.
- Opt out of certain processing where an applicable law permits it.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices change. The current version will be posted here with an effective date.
